Hope Health Center is a faith-based 501(c)3 community medical center located in Fairfield, Alabama.  Our mission is to provide excellent, whole-person health care to the underserved and share the hope found through Jesus Christ.

Our vision is for the poor, sick, and needy to experience the love and healing of Jesus Christ through our efforts to provide excellent, integrative health care. Our goal is to promote the wellbeing of the whole person, body, mind, and spirit, by offering access to a broad range of services. In addition to primary medical care, we offer dental services, nutrition and fitness classes, one-on-one counseling, and spiritual support for our patients.  We believe that treating the symptoms of illness or even curing disease is only one aspect of health care; addressing peoples’ emotional, mental, and spiritual needs is also critical to improving health and quality of life. We want every patient to know that he or she is created in the image of God the Father and that Jesus Christ died on the cross to save them from their sins and to give them eternal life (John 3:16). Our hope is that our patients will experience the transforming power of the Holy Spirit through a relationship with Jesus Christ and gain eternal life through Him.

Mark 2:17 And when Jesus heard it, He said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Romans 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

We currently have a staff of seven, including two full-time physicians of family medicine, and a cadre of exceptional volunteers. We served approximately 1,800 patients in FY 2011 (July 1, 2010 – June 30, 2011). Currently, about 15% of our patients are uninsured, 80% are Medicaid and/or Medicare recipients, and 5% are privately insured.

Our clinic is strategically located in a residential area with a high degree of medical need and a shortage of health care providers. Many residents, particularly the disabled and older adults, lack adequate transpor-tation to reach doctors and hospitals miles away. Our prominent location in historic downtown Fairfield makes it possible for many patients to walk or drive a short distance to get the primary care they need. Because we are a family medical center serving children and adults of all ages, our doctors are able to serve the entire family, build a long-term, trust-based patient-doctor rapport, and provide consistent, quality medical care over the lifespan.
